Pastor
Rev. Margaret (Margo) Richardson
Margo’s previous post was as healthcare chaplain in Minneapolis MN, which included serving a public level 1 trauma center, a community hospital, hospices and care centers.
Margo has degrees in English literature from the University of Memphis and a Masters of Divinity from Vanderbilt Divinity School in Nashville.
She was ordained in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in 1995 and in the United Church of Christ in 2014.
According to Margo, “My faith journey initially was quite conservative and limited. However, this gifted me with a strong attachment to the scriptures, and I enjoy the vast collection of stories in the Hebrew and Christian scriptures. I spent my college years in Memphis TN learning from African American educators who helped me become a better teacher and a better reader of the scriptures. While I am grounded in my own Christian faith, I enjoy learning about the faiths of others. During my years in chaplaincy, I absorbed many lessons from Muslims (mostly Sunni), Buddhists from many lineages, Jews, Ojibwe and Dakota tribal members, Sikhs and various Hindu groups. I love to listen to people tell their stories,.” hatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
