BELL RINGERS

After church, sporadic

You can participate if you are a member or not. No experience necessary.  Bell ringers do not need to know how to read music.  Practices are brief, half hour sessions after church.  Practice sessions will be announced during service.  The bell choir is brand new, so for the time being we are keeping the music simple and having only a few performances a year, mainly at holidays.  We ask participants to attend as many practices as possible when a performance is coming up, but understand that personal commitments may prevent people from attending every practice.

BIBLE STUDY

Fridays 10:00AM

We start at 10:00, break for lunch around 11:30, and are usually finished by 12:00. Lunch is provided.  You do not need to be a Bible expert to participate.  Bring any Bible translation that you are comfortable reading.  Participants decide together which topic we will address each week.  All are welcome, whether members of our church or not.

Did you know that even if you are not on council you are welcome to attend council meetings? The liturgist walks up the aisle with the pastor at the start of service, and walks out with the pastor when worship is over.  He/she performs the parts of the service denoted in the bulletin.  At the start of the service, remind the congregation of when to stand, which hymnal is which, etc.  Everyone in the congregation is encouraged to try being liturgist. No experience necessary.  Just sign up, then come to church on that day.

MOVIE NIGHT

First Saturday of the Month*

PEACE VIGIL

Mondays 6:00PM

Please continue to join us on Monday evenings as we gather in silent prayer and contemplation for a hurting world. No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are abundantly welcome here! Even if prayer is not your thing, we welcome you to bring your peace vibes, your love, your fear, your compassion, your frustration, your sorrow…all of it. Together we can send message of peace and hope to the world. Please note that this will be a mostly silent gathering.

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY

Third Wednesday of the month. Meetings are at the church at 10:09 am

Bring your yarn and needles and come knit or crochet shawls with us. Everyone is welcome.

We create shawls for people to wrap themselves in that are facing any of life's hurts -- surgery, the death of a loved one, or loss of a job.

When we have a half dozen shawls done, we have a blessing of them during Sunday worship before we disperse them.
